Top Tips to Staying Organized and Clutter Free

Take a deep breath. Clutter and chaos can cause a lot of stress. Stop agonizing and start organizing!

Only allow things on counters that you use daily. Stow everything else in cupboards, shelves or closets.

Use organization trays in your utensil drawer, similar to those in your silverware drawer.

If there is a spot that seems to attract clutter, put a vase, picture or other object there to fill the space instead.

Consult a friend. Sometimes it is much easier to have a friend offer a reality check: “Really? You’re going to keep THAT?”

Don’t let the space under your bed to go waste. Put seasonal clothing or rarely used items in under-bed storage bins.

Utilize the space above your toilet with towel rods, shelving, or cabinetry.

Go vertical. Keep your floors clear by using stackable storage devices, shelving, or wall hooks.

Conquer your paperwork. Collect mail in a bin until you have time to sort. Create a filing area for bills, important papers, magazines, etc.

Install hooks on the back of doors to hang towels, bathrobes, etc.
